Muhyiddin said customers must present their COVID-19 vaccination digital certificate to prove that they have been fully inoculated.

Dr Noor Hisham said only 5,138 cases or 24.7% of total cases reported today had a history of Covid-19 immunisation.

The card, along with a pill-shaped pen will then be tied the door handle of vehicles or the side mirror of motorcycle belonging to the frontliners randomly throughout this month.

Dr Noor Azmi said the issue would be brought to the ministry’s special meeting soon to discuss the suitable methods to address the matter.

“I would like to stress here that each ministry and agency monitoring the relaxation of restrictions, including on owners or premises, must be fully responsible for its (relaxation) implementation to ensure stipulated guidelines are complied with to prevent unsafe situations,” he said.

“So, we have to look at all sectors, not based on specific sectors, but in terms of the risk of Covid-19 infection in the respective sectors”
