“Our officers are going on their rounds after office hours daily to check on open burning in high risk areas such as peatland and dumpsites. We are also monitoring factories by carrying out night time inspection rounds but these are not done on a daily basis,’’ said Nor Aziah.

“Various efforts are being taken to continue promoting Hoho, including through social media, and collaborations with influencers, media and other stakeholders,” he said during a media familiarisation trip in Sepang yesterday.

"We've recently been made aware of cases reported in the media concerning an Islamic religious council where a notable sum of tithe funds wasn't submitted to the state tithe board. A similar incident has surfaced in Selangor. Though not widespread, we've taken follow-up actions, including filing police reports.
