“During this year’s haj season, the payment rate for Muassasah pilgrims for the B40 group who are performing haj for the first time is set at RM11,980 per person, an increase of RM 1,000 compared to last year."

“We make changes for the B40 group... Although during the previous administration, the cost for B40 increased by RM1,000 and by right, there will also be an increase of RM1,000 this year. (But) I think they don’t need to bear the cost.

“We must make sure the benefits reach the people and the groups targeted by the government,” he said in a Facebook post today.

A large proportion of the approved investments took place in Johor (RM70.6 billion), followed by Selangor (RM60.1 billion), Sarawak (RM28.2 billion), Kuala Lumpur (RM25.0 billion) and Penang (RM16.3 billion), he said.

"It has been six years since we introduced Simpanan Syariah. We are currently working on enhancing the current business model by fully separating Simpanan Syariah assets from investing alongside syariah-compliant assets in Simpanan Konvensional," Amir Hamzah said.
