The Star: Water supply recovery underway, says Air Selangor

PETALING JAYA: All four water treatment plants affected by the Sungai Kundang and Sungai Sembah odour pollution have restarted operations, says Air Selangor.

Air Selangor added that the water supply recovery in affected areas is expected to reach 40% by 8am on Thursday (July 25) and 90% by 8pm on the same day.

"The full recovery time is expected to be at 8:00 am on Friday (July 26)," it added.

"Clean and safe treated water supply has been distributed in stages to consumers. As of 6am on Wednesday (July 24) the water supply recovery in the affected areas has reached 9.9%," it said in a post on its Facebook page.

The four water treatment plants affected are the Rantau Panjang, Sungai Selangor Phase 1 (SSP1), Sungai Selangor Phase 2 (SSP2), and Sungai Selangor Phase 3 (SSP3).

Consumers can obtain information on this water supply disruption from time to time through https://waterupdates.airselangor.com/ or the Air Selangor application, Facebook, Instagram and X or by calling Air Selangor’s Call Centre at 15300.
