Malaysia has secured significant potential investment, including RM6.56bil from Japanese firms during the Prime Minister’s visit to Japan in December.

Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) or MBI’s corporate social responsibility head Ahmad Azri Zainal Nor said the free initiative involves a RM10 million allocation.

“This hub is strategically positioned to increase efficiency as part of Daiso’s global supply chain, with Selangor serving demand not only in Asia but also the Americas, Middle East, Australia, and New Zealand,” Amirudin said.

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari (pix) said the decision was reached at the state executive council meeting yesterday and the report would be returned to the National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA) for further action.

Menurut Ketua Divisyen Ekonomi dan Kewangan MBI, Zannifa Azura Ahmad, projek pelabuhan perikanan dan kilang pemprosesan, pembungkusan tuna serta ikan laut dalam pertama negara di Sungai Lang, dijangka menarik pelaburan awal sekitar RM100 juta bagi fasa pertama.
