The Largest IC Design Park in Southeast Asia
Today marks another historic moment for Selangor with the launching of the largest IC Design Park in Southeast Asia situated Puchong.
Spanning 60,000 square feet, the park is located in PFCC Puchong after an extensive evaluation of potential sites in Klang Valley, considering factors such as size, power capacity, building status, and accessibility. It will house over 400 IC design engineers from local, international, and joint venture IC design companies, including major tenants like Maistorage, Skyechip, Weeroc, AppAsia, ChipsBank, and SensoremTek Sdn Bhd. The park will also be supported by ecosystem partners such as BlueChip VC, ARM Holdings, Cadence Design Systems, Synopsys, Siemens EDA, Keysight, and the Shenzhen Semiconductor Association.
Malaysia and Selangor are committed to boosting the semiconductor industry, with proper policies such as the National Semiconductor Strategy, which aims to provide high-impact jobs to Malaysians.
Insya-Allah, this is just the beginning of the state’s push towards enhancing and empowering the semiconductor industry. Our primary goal is to promote original design manufacturing, encouraging local involvement in product design, prototyping, and production, and is expected to employ around 300 local engineers.
