The 8th Selangor ASEAN Business Conference (SABC 2024) opens its doors today at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. As we champion ‘Selangor, the Key of ASEAN: Accelerating Prosperity through Strategic Connectivity and Resilience,’ we are setting the pace for a resilient and thriving ASEAN.
Our strategic initiatives, outlined in the First Selangor Plan (RS-1) and the Mid-Term Review (KSP RS-1), are driving groundbreaking progress in economic advancement and sustainability. From enhancing connectivity to pioneering innovation, Selangor is at the forefront of regional transformation.
Overall, SIBS 2024 aims to attract more than 1,300 delegates and is targeting a potential investment of RM7 billion, in addition to welcoming 60,000 visitors from 80 countries. Last year, SIBS 2023 recorded an investment transaction value of RM6.12 billion, a fourfold increase compared to the target of RM1.5 billion.
The state’s economic growth is on the right track, continuing to create more economic opportunities and benefits for the people. Selangor is committed to maintaining and continuing its momentum of excellence as one of the biggest contributors to the country’s investment.
