Selangor Journal: MBSJ implements programmes to help underprivileged
SUBANG JAYA, Oct 27 — Members of the underprivileged community living in areas under the Subang Jaya City Council’s (MBSJ) administration will continue to receive aid through various programmes organised by the local authority.
Subang Jaya Mayor Datuk Johary Anuar said they can enjoy several benefits through the Bantuan Kesihatan Peka B40 programme and the Ziarah Kasih MBSJ programme, that will be implemented throughout November.
“Bantuan Kesihatan Peka B40 will be implemented according to the 24 zones of the Residents Representative Councils (MPP), to increase awareness on the importance of regular health checks for the underprivileged.
“This initiative, in collaboration with Siti Healthcare Clinic, will take place on November 12 at Dewan Serbaguna USJ 7 MBSJ from 8am to 4pm, and Dewan Serbaguna Seri Kembangan MBSJ on November 26,” he said.
Johary said this as part of his message during the 10th MBSJ Plenary Meeting of 2022, earlier today.
He added that MBSJ Ziarah Kasih is an initiative to overcome the issues of poverty and ease the burden of the underprivileged, which will be implemented in cooperation with the MPPs.
“A cash donation of RM200 or basic necessities of the same value will be given to 15 underprivileged recipients in each of the 24 MPPs,” Johary said.
