Selangor Journal: City folks welcomed to share feedback on MBPJ’s 2025 budget
SHAH ALAM, June 26 — The Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) is inviting the public to share feedback and suggestions for preparing its 2025 Budget.
In a Facebook post today, the local authority said city residents have until July 21 to provide their input.
According to the feedback form, the theme for MBPJ’s budget next year is Petaling Jaya Bandaraya Bahagia (Petaling Jaya: City of Happiness).
It also stressed the importance of the council in remaining resilient to ensure its excellence can be sustained moving forward despite limited resources.
“In this regard, you are invited to participate by sharing your ideas, suggestions and views for preparing the 2025 Budget,” MBPJ said.
The feedback form focuses on five key themes, the first of which is environment and health. The ultimate goal is to preserve the city’s greenery, reduce pollution, and curb dengue.
The second theme focuses on safe and barrier-free urban management, which involves maintaining and upgrading facilities and infrastructure so that they can be used by people of all backgrounds.
On economy and revenue, MBPJ said the council’s goal is to ensure it is financially capable of managing the city and enhancing its economic value without burdening the public.
On the theme of social, it wants to ensure the community’s well-being is constantly preserved.
For the final theme of digital city management, MBPJ said it intends to optimise its delivery system to meet residents’ needs and achieve 100 per cent digitalisation of all its services.
