Selangor Journal: Bukit Antarabangsa among five locations in Selangor at risk of landslides

SHAH ALAM, Dec 16 — The Department of Minerals and Geosciences (JMG) has listed five locations in Selangor at risk of landslides.
The five areas include Bukit Antarabangsa, Kuala Kubu Baru, Jalan Kuala Kubu – Raub, Sungai Buloh and the Kuala Lumpur – Karak Highway.
The agency also listed 26 more locations at risk of landslides throughout the country, except Perlis.
“Members of the public are advised to report if there are any emergencies,” it said on Facebook.
Last Friday, a campsite on Jalan Genting – Batang Kali in Batang Kali was destroyed in a landslide tragedy at about 2.42am.
As of yesterday, a total of 24 victims were confirmed dead out of a total of 94 people involved in the disaster, while 61 survived and nine still missing.
