Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Mohd Na'im Mokhtar said the Emirates Astronomical Society's prediction on the Raya date would be discussed at the committee level of the National Fatwa Council.

He said the allocation is expected to benefit 50,000 PPR residents through the “Kita Untuk Kita” (K2K) programme, involving about 12 housing projects that are identified as problematic.

“The state economy contracted by -5.2 per cent in 2020 and recovered strongly by plus five per cent in the following year. We opine Selangor’s resiliency lies in the strength of its diversified manufacturing sector and huge consumer demand,” it said.

Ahmad said a total of 850,000 padi farmers, rubber smallholders and fishermen would each receive RM200 and this would involve financial allocation of RM170 million.

“These are the government’s measures to ensure that the people can celebrate Ramadan and Hari Raya in a situation where we can still control the prices set,” he told the media after a walkabout at the Selangor Rahmah Ramadan Bazaar at Dataran Esplanade Eco Grandeur Park, Puncak Alam, here, today.

She said for adolescents aged 12 to 18, there were a total of 2,858,927 or 91.9 per cent of this segment who completed the primary dose, while 60,414 or 1.9 per cent had received the first booster dose.
