Selangor Journal: MB to reveal aid package for Selangor people tomorrow

SHAH ALAM, June 8 — Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari will be announcing the Kita Selangor Package 2.0 tomorrow, which is aimed to help the people that are affected by the movement control order enforced on June 1.

The announcement that is expected to reveal several initiatives to help the targetted groups is scheduled to take place at 2pm.

“InsyaAllah (God willing), tomorrow I will be announcing the Kita Selangor Package 2.0 for the people in Selangor, themed ‘Moving Together towards Success’ (Bersama Menuju Kejayaan). Watch it live on Facebook and Twitter at 2pm,” he said in a Facebook post today.

The live broadcast of the announcement will also be aired on Media Selangor’s Facebook page or SelangorTV YouTube channel.

On January 20, the Menteri Besar had announced the first installation of the Kita Selangor Package worth RM73.8 million, following the reintroduction of the MCO earlier this year.

Last year, the state government had introduced three economic stimulus packages to cushion the economic impact of the MCO on its people, also known as the Selangor Cares Package.

Beginning last March, Amirudin had announced the first package with a total allocation of RM127.78 million, followed by April 1, a total RM272 million allocation was revealed for the second installation, and RM55.8 million announced on July 13 for economic recovery in the state.
