Happy Easter Day

On Easter Sunday, Christians throughout the world rejoice and partake in a process of renewal of faith, of courage, of forgiveness and of hope.

I echo the words of Pope Francis, 'Faith is not an album of past memories'. Indeed, it is a celebration of the present and an opportunity to build for a better, brighter tomorrow, while never forgetting to help those who are discouraged to overcome barriers or banish prejudices.

While you may not be able to have bigger celebrations with your friends and family, perhaps it is an opportunity for observance of a smaller scale which can hold greater meaning and foster a renewed value of community.

To all Selangorians celebrating, and to all Christians living in Selangor, I wish you and your families a Blessed Easter 2021.
